The Department of Educational and Information Technologies was established on September 1, 2020.
The department is a graduate training of masters in the educational and professional program “Higher School Pedagogy”. The department teaches 56 disciplines of psychological and pedagogical, mathematical, physical, computer and information orientation.
The Department of Physics was organized simultaneously with the founding of the Kharkiv Pharmaceutical Institute.
On September 1, 2004, the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology was established on the initiative of Rector VP Chernykh (NUPh Order No. 125k of April 7, 2004). The main activities of the department until 01.09.2020 were: advanced training and internships of research and teaching staff; training of masters according to the educational-professional program “Pedagogy of higher school”; teaching psychological and pedagogical disciplines to applicants for higher education at all levels.
In 2004, the Department of Information Technology was established at the University, which included some teachers of the Department of Engineering and Information Technology and the Department of Physics, including the head of the newly created department. In 2007, the Department of Information Technology was renamed the Department of Pharmacoinformatics.
In 2019, the Department of Biophysics and Information Technologies was established by merging the Department of Physics and Pharmacoinformatics in accordance with paragraph 3 of Order №300 “On Reorganization of Departments” of 29.08.2019 of the National University of Pharmacy to implement the decision of the Academic Council of the National University of Pharmacy (protocol from 22.04.2019 № 4) in order to comply with the License conditions of economic activity for the provision of educational services and the provisions of paragraph 5 of Art. 33 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”.
According to paragraph 8 of the Order №255 “On reorganization of departments” from 25.06.2020 of the National University of Pharmacy to implement the decision of the Academic Council of the National University of Pharmacy (protocol from 29.05.2020 №4) in order to comply with the License conditions for business services and regulations Clause 5 of Article 33 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, taking into account changes in the curriculum and other aspects of educational activities, was reorganized by transforming the Department of Biophysics and Information Technology and the formation of the Department of Educational and Information Technology.
